[KING HARALD BLÅTANN]
King Harald Blåtand (Bluetooth) Gormsson was the king of Denmark and parts of Norway until his death in 987. His diplomacy led enemies to negotiate together, and over 1.000 years later he inspired inventors at Ericsson creating a negotiation based communication technology between computer equipment to name their technology after the King himself. In 1994 the newborn Bluetooth® technology got its logo by joining together the two initial of Harald Bluetooth (
I and
b).
As a Dano-Norwegian by blood I find great amusement and inspiration in this anecdote; while climbing the family tree I find that my Danish ancestors stem from a place just two hours north of where the King was born.
Through the creation of the
DeepBlue product range our team of Bluetooth® experts aimed for the best, and as a tribute to the King we took the initials apart again.
The
DeepBlue sensor is delivered to you with the intention of providing the best Bluetooth® sensor for the ITS market | The king of sensors.
Sincerely,
