Today's cities accommodate more than half of the worlds' population, consume three-quarters of the worlds' energy, and cause at least three-quarters of global pollution.
With these proportions predicted to rise, it is clear that we must find a practical and flexible model for sustainable urban development if we are to have any hope of realizing a healthy balance between human activity and the natural world.
The mobility in metropolitan areas becomes more and more challenging with time passing. There is a growing car ownership and increasing traffic congestion. The congestion cost represents 2% of the EU GDP.
Our mission is to assist in managing the traffic in the most effective way so that we can reduce CO2 emissions and save time and cost for the citizen.
trafficnow® has elaborated a Cost-Benefit Analysis for the implementation of Bluetooth sensors that allow tracking Journey Times in real time. The study is based on data from the City and Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
